Newly renovated, Villa Astoria is a magnificent contemporary residence, with breath-taking sea views that will appeal to guests who are looking for that ‘something special’. Once through the gated entrance guests are afforded an immediate view of the stunning landscaped gardens and pathway leading to the feature staircase entrance of this impressive property. There is also a substantial paved parking area with room for several cars.
With a huge 3000 sq. ft of living areas, this spacious, fully air-conditioned villa is split level, offering added privacy for sharing guests with bedrooms served by three bathrooms on separate floors. All areas are immaculately presented and finished to the highest standards throughout in light neutral tones.
The open plan ground floor features an expansive lounge with large flat screen TV and a modern Italian designed kitchen with an island breakfast bar. The kitchen is well equipped and features two fridges, a freezer, built-in oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and a full height pull out larder. There is wi-fi throughout.
This floor is dominated by large sliding patio doors, which give an immediate view of the breath-taking vista, out through the gardens and on to the stunning Ionian Sea. Two further patio doors and large windows give the whole area a sense of openness and bathe the floor in natural light.
The feature marble staircase leads down to the lower-ground floor, where you will find two bedrooms and a modern bathroom. The bedrooms benefit from large built-in wardrobes and patio doors providing direct access out to the garden and pool. Bedrooms can be set-up either as twins or double configurations depending on guests’ needs. A few steps down from this floor lead to a large games room with table tennis table and a useful utility area with washing machine.
Leading up from the lounge area, you are guided to two further spacious bedrooms on the upper- ground floor, again with large built-in wardrobes and patio doors leading to a delightful balcony and serviced by another modern bathroom with walk in shower. One bedroom is a large double (queen), and the other can be configured as a twin or double.
Stairs then lead to the top floor, which houses an entire master suite. An impressive entrance hall leads you to a large and light filled bedroom with a super king size bed and its own en-suite bathroom. The feature patio doors run almost the full length of the wall and open out to the private balcony which wraps externally around the top floor and affords spectacular 270-degree views over the Ionian Sea, surrounding countryside, valleys and mountains. This balcony features private seating for those early morning coffees or a glass of wine at sunset.
Externally, Villa Astoria is just as impressive, with a large patio featuring casual seating areas leading down to the private swimming pool, all set within beautiful gardens. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available for those perfect lazy summer days, chilling out and enjoying the glorious Kefalonian sunshine. The views from all areas of the garden are wonderful and allow guests to fully appreciate the magnificent beauty associated with this area of Kefalonia.
Villa Astoria is perfectly situated to explore the whole island and is just a 15-minute drive from the airport and 20 minutes from the capital, Argostoli. There are local restaurants, bars and a supermarket within walking distance and guests are only the shortest of walks from one of the best blue flag beaches on the island.
