From Monastiri, where the picturesque monastery of Agios Ioannis (St John) is located, you can take a walk in the afternoon to the old lighthouse at the top of the peninsula or walk from Monastiri along the signed paths with scenic views, which is really nice for some short hikes through the interesting rocky landscape. Your walk will end up at the furthest secluded beaches.
From Kolimbithres and Monastiri you can take the tourist fishing boats to the nearby village of Naousa which take 10 - 15 minutes to cross over. There is a bus service from Kolimbithres to Naousa and back, five times a day.
