Positive: We thoroughly enjoyed our three-night stay, sleeping in an excellent bed in a spacious room, and savoring the delicious breakfasts, picnics, and dinners. The surroundings are peaceful and charming, right at the edge of the French Ardennes and beneath the beautiful town of Sedan, home to the largest fortified castle in Europe. There is so much to see and explore in the area. Add to that the warm hospitality of Martine and Rudi—who speak French, perfect English, and some Dutch—and you quickly realize there’s no better place to be.
