Our guest house is located in a small but cute village called Cerisy-la-Forêt. Within walking distance, you can find a supermarket, cafe/bar/tobacco, pharmacy, bakery, butchery, post office, and doctor’s office. 10 minutes driving and you can visit beautiful Chateau Balleroy. Or could have a look at Cerisy's XI century Abbey located 5 minutes of walking distance from the house - you can enjoy the view right from the garden!
Famous Mont Saint Michel is 1h30 driving distance and D-Day beaches are only 30 min away. You can go to the nearest towns of Bayeux, St. Lô and Caen for souvenir shopping or to eat out. Train station of Bayeux is just 25 min away on the car and there is a 24/7 taxi service. If you take a train from Bayeux you will be in Paris in less than 3 hours. Please note, that there is no public transportation in Cerisy-la-Forêt. If you don’t rent a car, you will need to use a taxi.
Our house has two bedrooms with 1 double bed and 2 single beds. If needed it can fit up to 7 people if using all three couches. You will have a fully equipped kitchen, TV (w/USB slot), DVD player, and Wi-Fi. House is located on the same territory as the main house - Château de l’Abbaye - where we live, but it has its own garden where you can let your dog walk. Yes, it’s a pets friendly place!
If you are traveling with a baby, we can set you up with a crib, a playpen, and a feeding chair. There is no laundry in the guest house, but there is one in the chateau that can be used upon request. We are fluent in English, so we will be able to help you with everything you may need.
